The Syverson

Pecky cypress is a species native to the southern part of the United States. It's a wood that is grown in swampland and, once harvested, reveals a myriad of little "pockets" that were the result of a fungus.

After the tree is felled this fungus dies and leaves the cypress "pecky", hence the name.

We thoroughly clean out these pockets and fill them with a colored resin that not only contrasts the honey-colored wood but also glows in the dark!

After several years of tedious crafting, we've refined our process to build these gorgeous pieces and are excited to offer them for your home.
